Job Description: |
Sub-Editor job is available in Islamabad, Lahore, & Rawalpindi for a leading Media Group. An ideal candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication or related field along with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience news editing, scriptwriting, and English to Urdu translation.
Sub-Editor job role is to edit and proofread news content, ensure grammatical accuracy and clarity, translate stories from English to Urdu, and support the editorial team in producing high-quality content for both print and digital platforms while meeting tight deadlines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Edit news stories, features, and scripts for grammar, punctuation, structure, and clarity
- Translate news content from English to Urdu accurately and fluently
- Ensure all content aligns with editorial standards and house style
- Collaborate with reporters and senior editors to finalize news items
- Maintain deadlines and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Fact-check stories and ensure accuracy of information
Skills:
- Strong command over written Urdu and English
- Proficiency in editing and scriptwriting for print and digital media
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
