1. Managing of library collections including serials & electronic databases.
2. Knowledge of academic library operations and experience in procuring library materials.
3. Collaboratively formulate collection development strategies and supervise activities related to developing and managing robustness collection of print and electronic resources to support teaching and research at the institute
4. Manage technical services required for selections, approvals, acquisitions, cataloging and fiscal management.
5. Participate in library instructions and research support assistance.
6. Ensure the compliance of acquisition procedures and maintenance of relevant records; perform collection analysis and stocktaking.
7. Experience of working with faculty in assessing their teaching and research needs.
8. Experience of working with library automation systems for acquisitions, serials and technical processing; and knowledge of meta-data
9. Proficient in use of computer in office work and library related tools.
10. Understanding of publishing marketplace and trends; and interact with library book suppliers and vendors.
11. Knowledge of library budget management and standard operating procedures for library acquisitions, purchasing and subscriptions.
