An opportunity exists to join a software development team with a rapidly expanding suite of web-based software products.

As a talented Business Analyst, you will be independent and self-motivated, capable of working both by yourself and in our friendly team.

Responsibilities

• To independently research and quickly understand new subject matter.
• providing business expertise, critical analytical skills, and initiative.
• Clarification of business ideas to ascertain key product features to meet customer acquisition strategies and value proposition.
• Produce advanced documentation to detail functional and non-functional requirements including drafting user stories, wireframes, and visualized workflows.
• Gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements, ensuring they are documented in the most appropriate method
• Engage stakeholders at various levels, from senior business leaders, customers to technical teams.
• Stakeholder management skills: exceptional ability to influence and be the trusted advisor.
• Ability to take full responsibility for own work with little supervision.
• Plan and undertake software upgrades and roll outs.
• Experience across UAT and understanding defect management with testing units and vendor.
• Participate in application support for internal and external stakeholders

Education and Experience

• Appropriate Tertiary/Master qualifications.
• 5+ years’ experience as a business analyst in software development

Key Requirements

• Must have excellent problem solving/analytical skills.
• Have clear understanding and experience in Agile software development methodologies.
• Commercial experience in applying formal methodologies such as BABOK, Scrum, BPMN, Figma
• Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, intercultural, written and verbal) and superior client relation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to run workshops and to communicate effectively with Product Managers, Developers, customers, and other stakeholders across the organisation
• Knowledge of general application architecture, databases, and basic technical skills.
• Ability to write clear and concise documentation and software requirements including user stories and acceptance criteria
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work within set timeframes and to meet deadlines.
• A commitment to quality standards and customer service.
