| Job Description: |
- Develop the quality assurance and framework within the University's overall framework, including the validation and revalidation of courses, and student admission and assessment.
- Transfer knowledge including practical skills, methods, and techniques.
- Encourage the development of innovative approaches to course design and delivery and ensure that teaching design and delivery comply with the quality and educational standards and regulations of the department.
- Challenge thinking, foster debate and develop the ability of students to engage in critical discourse and rational thinking.
- Supervise student projects, field trips and, where appropriate, placements.
- Set, mark and assess work and examinations and provide feedback to students.
- Ensure that the teaching content and methods of delivery are in accordance with RIU mission, respond to issues relating to subordinates and student needs.
- Write or contribute to publications or disseminate research findings using other appropriate media.
- Seek practical application of research findings.
- Make presentations at national and international conferences and similar events.
- Carry out independent research and act as principal investigator and project leader.
- Act as a referee and contribute to peer assessment.
- Act as a line manager, supervising the work of others, for example in research teams, projects, or as PhD supervisor when required.
- Update data in VLE and other required software as per requirements.
- To link and inculcate Islamic and ethical values in teaching.
