Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· The supervision of all cleaning staff, focusing on their performance in terms of standards of cleanliness and behavior set by the school
· Direct workers and contractors to the site of repair and maintenance work, supervising and ensuring that their presence has been recorded.
· Ensuring that a first-class cleaning service is delivered to all areas of the building
· Ensure that the School is maintained to the set standards
· Lock/unlock gates; procure and collect building & maintenance materials required for jobs; wash/clean external walls of all buildings; check playground equipment
· Assign duties to the janitorial staff and inspect their work
· Investigate complaints regarding campus maintenance, housekeeping services, and equipment.
· Track inventory of trade supplies for building, plumbing and electrical, for repairs and work requests as required
· Purchase housekeeping supplies and equipment
· Train new employees and recommend dismissals.
· Screen new applicants
· Ensuring all staff are aware of the Health and Safety policies and procedures
· Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur.
· Coordinate and support the work and activities of all departments.
· Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas
· Evaluates records to forecast department personnel requirements.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
· Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations
